Refund Policy

1. Digital Service Nature

Email2Obsidian provides a digital service that receives, stores, and makes available email content via our application and APIs. Because our service is delivered immediately and relies on computing and storage resources (such as server capacity, API calls, storage, and computational power) that are consumed when emails are received, processed, and stored, and cannot be “returned” or recovered, our refund policies differ from those for physical products.

2. Subscription Services

Monthly Subscriptions: Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance for the upcoming billing period. Refunds for unused portions of the current billing cycle are not provided.

Annual Subscriptions: Annual subscriptions may be eligible for pro-rata refunds for unused months if cancelled within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, no refunds are available for annual subscriptions.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will prevent future charges, but you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

3. Service Performance Issues

Service Downtime: If our service experiences significant downtime (exceeding 24 consecutive hours), you may be eligible for credit extensions or partial refunds for the affected period.

Service Accuracy and Availability: We do not provide refunds based on the content, completeness, formatting, or availability of emails processed through the service. The service is provided on an “as is” basis, and the emails you can access depend on factors beyond our control, including:

  • Delivery by third‑party email providers, forwarding rules, and spam filters
  • Network connectivity and latency between your systems and ours
  • The availability and behaviour of third‑party services and integrations you use
  • Temporary outages, maintenance, or changes by email or infrastructure providers

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available and to store and expose emails as described in our documentation, but we do not guarantee that all emails will be received, stored, or remain accessible at all times, or that their formatting or parsing will always meet your expectations.

4. Fraudulent Purchases

If we determine that a purchase was made fraudulently or through unauthorized means, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate the associated account
  • Disable access to all services and features
  • Withhold refunds for fraudulent purchases
  • Report the incident to relevant authorities

Legitimate account holders who experience unauthorized purchases should contact us immediately for investigation and potential resolution.

5. Refund Process

To request a refund, you must:

  • Contact our support team within the eligible timeframe
  • Provide your account information and purchase details
  • Explain the reason for your refund request
  • Provide any relevant evidence or documentation

Processing Time: Refund requests are typically processed within 5–7 business days. Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method within 10–14 business days, depending on your financial institution.

Communication: We will communicate with you regarding your refund request through the email address associated with your account.

6. Exceptions

We may, at our sole discretion, make exceptions to this refund policy in cases of:

  • Technical errors on our part that prevent service delivery
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Service outages exceeding our Service Level Agreement
  • Special circumstances warranting consideration

Any exceptions made are at our sole discretion and do not set precedent for future requests.

7. Account Termination

If your account is terminated for violation of our Terms of Service, including but not limited to:

  • Abuse of our service or API
  • Violation of applicable laws or regulations
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Harassment or abuse of our support team

No refunds will be provided for any remaining prepaid fees or unused subscription periods.

8. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will become effective immediately upon posting to this page. Continued use of our service after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
